Chip Whitlock - Associate
Chip joined The Tittle Luther Partnership in 1993 and is an Associate Principal of the firm. He is one of the firm’s Project Managers and has provided leadership for many of TLP’s most complex projects. He has provided project leadership TLP designs for Hendrick Medical Center, Abilene Independent School District, City of Abilene, Taylor County, and Region 14 Educational Service Center. His responsibilities include direction of project personnel, client consultation, consultant coordination and development of construction documents.
A 1991 Texas Tech graduate, he is a member of the American Institute of Architects as an Associate Member, Texas Society of Architects, Junior Achievement and Leadership Abilene.
Major Projects
Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Pharmacy- Abilene, Project Manager for design and construction document services for this 40,800 SF, 2 story administrative and classroom facility. Project provides state-of-the-art instructional facilities that can be expanded as the program grows.
Hendrick Medical Center Project 2010, Project Manager for design and construction document for a 230,000 SF, $54,000,000 addition and renovation project. Project is designed to combine all inpatient and outpatient surgery into a new surgical suite and associated spaces. Additionally the work included medical office space, a pediatric and dialysis suite. The addition is designed for a future 8 floor expansion.
Abilene/Taylor County Public Health Clinic, Project Manager for design and construction documents for a new building to house the areas public health facilities. The building is a 2 story, 21,000 SF facility accommodating the public health clinic, laboratories, children’s dental clinic and the district’s administrative space.
Abilene Regional Airport Passenger Terminal Building Additions, Project Manager for design and construction phase services for multi--phase additions and renovations to the existing terminal. Project included the design of a new covered entry and exterior escalator, expansion of the ticketing area, and other facility upgrades.
